heat wave

I am a lipstick girl. I hate lip gloss. Its too sticky & shiny & I can't find one that looks good on me. So Monday I was on a quest to find the perfect red lipstick for the 4th. I went to Sephora & immediately spotted this Nars Heat Wave lipstick. It has a bit of an orange tint to it & I'm in love! I was so stoked to wear it that night...... but then I got sick. & I mean SICK! I'll spare you the nasty details, but let's just say my 4th of July was completely ruined. So now I'm using this lovely lipstick to help bring some color back to my face. Cause the pale/washed-out/sickly look I'm rockin now, is scary.

I love dressing festive on holidays -

Green on St. Patty's Day, pastels on Easter, & red, white, and blue on the 4th.

Call me cheesy, but I like it.

I'm still on the hunt of what I'm going to wear for the 4th of July.

I think this year adding pops of color to some neutral basics will be perfect.

Don't want to go overboard!

All of these pieces will work great for my activities this weekend such as:

going to the pool, golfing, BBQs, Bee's game, & of course FIREWORKS!

It's gonna be a blast!

Its sad when your first day of actual summer begins on June 27th.

But better late than never I guess.

I'm finally done with school!

Wahooo!

& I'm only working 3 days a week,

because the commute down to Orem everyday was killing my soul.

I took a little break from life this weekend, including my blog.

Went to the pool, went on long runs, watched Vampire Diaries, had a bbq, & watched fireworks.

I. was. in. heaven.

But now that I have more time on my hands,

I plan to add more flavor to my posts & maybe even my blog design!

(hopefully...)
