Day 10: Do you give to charities or other people around the holidays? Which is your cause of choice?

Normally I would do a sub for Santa, but this year for my Women's Health Issues class, we had to do a service project that would benefit women. We were put into groups and had to find some sort of charity or make one on our own. My group decided to give women's coats, gloves, hats, and shoes to the hospital to give to homeless women and children in our area. We collected the items from neighbors and businesses. We also got a few cash donations to make hygiene kits.

We collected a ton of stuff! 

We donated to the Utah Valley Hospital and the Timpanogos Hospital. Because we had so much stuff, we decided to give the rest of the donations to the Family Support & Treatment Center in Orem. It is a place for women and children who can go to escape dangerous situations at home such as abuse or neglect. 

It was such an amazing experience and made me really appreciate what I have, specially during this holiday season.
